MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
We have a Bosch fridge freezer and the top freezing "element" (is that the right word?) Has stopped freezing so the too drawer of the freezer has defrosted. The fridge was free, and not expensive even when it was new.
Is it goosed, and if not is it a cheap repair? I've genuinely no idea where to start and all I can find on Google is stuff about the whole freezer packing in.
I vaguely remember some advice about turning it upside down for a few hours, and then righting it again?!
Is the fan running ok?

Thats Absorption fridges, like you get in caravans, coolboxes etc.
Compressor fridge wouldnt benefit from being turned upside down.
how old is the fridge/freezer?
If its old and was cheap when new then its probably worth replacing. Inefficient ones use so much electricity that you recoup the expense pretty quickly.
Yes, unlike most things a freezer is dead when its not cold
Of course. Silly me 🙂
