My wife wants one for Xmas but are they worth it and can you recommend any please?

As an avid hater of mp3 and a lover of massive 70's speakers I hate to say this but I bought a Bose unit to use out on site and the sound is actually rather acceptable considering its coming out of an iPod from a small box.

Bose Sounddock. Looks good, sounds great. Crappy remote though

another vote for the iGroove - IMO better sound quality than the Bose by a mile

Be careful.
Remember the new Apple stuff has a different connector, so if you change in the future you might need an adaptor. And there's rumours that some stuff doesn't work with adaptors....
Just something to bear in mind. 🙂
