at the end of iplayer video segments, my firefox crashes.
unfortunately the 3/4 second channel screen thing, before the program starts, counts as one of these video segments, and as such, it is impossible to watch iplayer. even does it in the pop-out player, crashing any FF window which is open.
particularly irritating as its a useful procrastination tool while i write my dissertation...
its been doing it for a few months.
my computer literate housemate can't work out what it is. computer is pretty much up to date, none of the firewalls are set up to do it, and it even crashes when they are turned off.
i also seem unable to get google chrome browser to work - it won't load any pages, even the home page.
my IE doesn't work either - it won't let me connect either - says i have an invalid request when i type in an address (even www.bbc.co.uk)
cannot work out what is wrong with it... its rather irritating!
oh, also i run avast - it keeps telling me i can update to a new version, but when i click on it, it won't let me.
i hate computers 🙁
