I have an iphone 2g and usually connect it to my laptop for itunes etc, but I have just tried connecting it to my desktop pc to access the music off there (it has never been connected to this computer before).
The phone is visible in itunes but all the songs are listed in grey and cannot be clicked on. I also cant transfer anything from itunes onto my phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you "authorised" that iTunes to access your phone?

Is the phone set to manually sync music?

Its not, I just clicked 'manually manage songs' and a message came up saying because the phone is already synced to another computer doing this will cause the phone to be erased. Don't like the sound of that, will that mean I will have to put all my songs back on my phone?
