Just been offered a Iphone 5 for a very reasonable price, the owner cracked the screen by accident, had it replaced as he needed it, and then tried to claim the money back on the iphone insurance. Insurance promptly said they will replace the phone.
My question is, will I buy a phone that will be a brick once the new phone is registered.
Any help would be good...

Depends where the phone is supplied from I suspect.
From the Apple store. No.
From a Network. Possibly.
