I’m a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to technology and this has stumped me. I had the Apple update and changed the SIM card due to a different package so I’m not sure what made my ability to send a text non existent. It tried to send the Apple messages but I don’t want to use them and have them switched off in settings but it won’t send texts even if I try replying to a text from someone who doesn’t do Apple. Help!!!
Go to Settings and then Phone, at the very top you will see My Number, make sure your. Umber is correct, if it’s wrong you won’t be able to send texts
The number is correct as is the email although the phone is set up in my partners’ name.
Jam bo that could be it but I changed packages with the same carrier (Virgin). I guess I need an updated carrier number from them?
Check your APN settings are correct.
