Somehow my 3yr old has put a passcode on my wife's iphone, any ideas how to unlock it??

Connect to your computer. Logon to iTunes and do a reset.
You won't be hacking the password as thats the whole point.
Once it has reset you can then do a rebuild from one of your old backups held in iTunes

Hmmm so a reset will loose everything? Does Itunes autobackup?
