[Closed] iphone apps - do you have to get them from the iTunes store?

Or can you download them from somewhere else, import them into your iTunes library and then load them onto you phone?

The phone in this instance is [u]un[/u]-jailbroken phone.

Yeah you have to go via App Store (which us part of the iTunes store). That is the one and only source of iPhone apps for unjailbroken phones and it is how Apple make sure only approved apps get on your phone.

You don't have to [i]"import them into your iTunes library and then load them onto you phone"[/i] though. You can go the other way around and just go to App Store on your phone, install the apps you want and next time you sync with iTunes they get copied to your iTunes library.
Anyone else that then syncs with that same library also gets them.
