The joke is I get very few issues on this forum so when I tried to look for the errors a few others get I’ve not had an issue. I’ve now just stopped trying to help.

Mine got in a right tiz the other day, plugged into a charger but battery % not going up and getting hotter and hotter, no Apps running. Had to power cycle it to snap it out of it. Without it plugged in the battery % was just counting down as you looked at it, about 1% every few seconds....
Experiencing a bug where some apps dock icons just don’t work! Need to find the app icon on the home screen to switch to the app!
13.1.1 seems to have fixed this issue!
13.1.1 means I can now sync my photo's again.

Re CarPlay, does anyone know why on my iPhone I can see the list of apps on there but seem to have lost the screen where they jiggled about a bit (technical term) and I could rearrange them on the screen....
Does anyone know where it’s gone?

I updated to IOS 13.1.1 on the weekend via iTunes as I had the laptop on to transfer some music across. I am now having issues getting the playlists in iTunes which I have curated and built over many years to transfer over to my phone. Anyone else have this issue and know a way to do it?

One thing I've noticed in my Carplay-enabled cars is that if I have the car's built-in satnav running & I fire up waze or apple maps, it now sends a signal to the car to cease navigation. I've seen this on the Kenwood in my van and the Skoda unit in my Kodiaq. Also works the other way round. A bit annoying as occasionally there is a place for running both.
Wish they'd sort out canbus communication from carplay - it'd be nice to see in-dash route guidance and potentially track listings from audio apps.

I know I’m not the target audience for this kinda thing, but I do wish that once you’ve clicked the “recently used” icon that doesn’t include them in the menu... that these bloody things would piss off. 🤷♂️

Track listing already works on some cars, at least on Audi (B9) Spotify track listings show on instrument panel. Other than it is mess though, not all car buttons work with CarPlay and one ends up in car menus occasionally although much less often than with IOS 12.
Now you can use external storage devices, e.g. attach a USB drive.
Proper file / folder management - almost. Much better than it was; you actually have full control over where documents etc are stored and can drag and drop between folders, create new folders etc. I don’t know if iOS on the phone fully supports mass storage but it does on iPadOS-just plug in an external drive or memory card and it shows up as such and can copy in and out from that. Really a massive step forward in the iPad becoming a laptop replacement. Proper mouse support too.
Lots of little tweaks here and there just improve the overall usability - really quite like it.
The multitasking is very good now too having 2 functional windows alongside.
When I pick up the phone in the morning (after being charged overnight), it now displays a weather screen. Where can I configure this? I don’t even have the Apple weather app on the phone anymore

Go to Settings>Privacy>Location Services><b>Weather</b>, and change the setting from Always to Never. This will remove the <b>weather</b>information from both the <b>Notification</b> Center and from your <b>Weather App</b>
or
Tap into your Settings app and then tap on <b>Notification</b> Center. You'll see a list of all the apps that are using <b>iOS Notifications</b> to keep you informed. Tap on the app you'd like to stop stressing over, then toggle Badge App Icon to Off.

IOS 13 seems to have messed up the connection to my Garmin watch - it won't sync the data from a run now, which is annoying. I've followed the 'fix' that Garmin sent out on an email, but it still doesn't work. They said it's about permissions, but everything seems to be as it should be. Other than that it's good. Dark mode is funky...
Cheers Bikebuoy - neither of those worked. I don’t have the Apple weather app, and the BBC weather app doesn’t have any notifications to switch off.
unless it’s buried in the location services section in something obscure, then there isn’t any easy way to find how to switch it off or configure it, there’s also no mention of it on Apples website

Isn’t a weather forecast in the morning a feature of the bedtime / do not disturb setting?
Surprised turning it to never in location services had no effect.
Tried all that - I don’t have the weather app installed, so there isn’t an option in location services for weather,
if it is an option in bedtime/DND then it isn’t listed, and has only started since IOS13 - nothing else in my setup has changed.
Been playing with wireless mouse on the iPad today - works really well!

If you use your iPad or iPhone in an environment that requires certificates, apple have limited the length, they only accept upto 8 months.
Find my Phone - how the heck do you update someone’s location now? Ok it is supposed to automatically update but it’s not on mine
Also I have hotmail synced through to the mail app and it’s popping up with new mail notification but then can take some seconds to appear. Same delay deleting emails...
