At the end of an interview, they always ask if you have any questions. What are good things to ask?
Can I asee some pictures of your wife?
'is there a limit on how much money i could make for you guys? i dont want to upset the other employees!'
Are there chances to develop your skills, training courses etc?
What are the routes to progress through the company?
Other questions will depend on the specific job and industry.
You should really be trying to engage your interviewer in a two way conversation throughout. This leaves you with just one important question regarding their internet usage policy.
It's for a graduate engineering program with an electrical distribution company.
Can I asee some pictures of your wife?
Or...
"Would you like to see some pictures of your wife?" ๐
I started as a graduate civil engineer last year with a civils company last year. Important thing for me was to find out how they will help you move towards being chartered, what support is available etc. I would guess this might be fairly similar for most kinds of engineering.
Edit: Most engineering firms are very keen to see a want to progress to professional accreditation as soon as possible
Just remember that your objective in the interview is to get the job offer.
It is not the time for you to be deciding if it's the job you want - you can do that afterwards. So whatever question you ask should be tailored to make the interviewer think you're the right candidate.
Is everyone that works here a c0ck like you?
Will I have unlimited access to STW?

It is the right time to find information that will help with your decision though, and asking suitable questions helps create a good impression anyway.
Aaaah.... "have you got any questions?" was always my last secret 'unscoreable' question to interviewees. And a candidate that rang to talk about the job or have a look round before the interview was always much more promising: if they didn't have anything else to ask at the end it was because we had already talked about it before the interview.
As the interviewer I hoped to be asked about training/development and our team's own style or technique (this would be in a beardy therapy sense for my team, but i guess every workplace/team has a particular thing for a particular way of working/technique in what they 'deliver' as a product or service). Try not to sound too much more clever than your interviewer if you do this though: whether they are aware of this procerss or not, a crap interviewer/boss is likely to be reluctant to appoint someone who they fear will show them up.
Good luck!
What's your favourite colour?

You're doing a university degree and come here asking this question.
And they have to ask if standards are slipping... ๐
I am being serious too. FFS!
What are the next steps in the recruitment process?
When can we expect to move this forward to the offer stage?
Is there anything that would stop you from offering me the job?
Can I take the office bike for a quick spin round the block?
Do you want fries with that?
Will there ever be a boy born who can swim as fast a shark?
Is there a shower/lockers?
+1 for WCA and Moses. Close them down a bit.
Cheers guys. Some good stuff there. It's been ten years since I finished my degree so I've got some catching up to do. Just spend the last two and a half hours driving up here. I go in for the interview in about half an hour.
sorry pal - haven't got time to go through all the responses.

Forum Search is your friend - this very subject has been covered a fair bit.
Well, thank you to those who helped but I think I ballsed it up on the questions about regulating bodies and legislation.
edit: didnt read above post!
COULD JESUS MICROWAVE A BURRITO SO HOT THAT HE HIMSELF COULD NOT EAT IT?
Homer Simpson.
Sorry to hear that,if indeed you have failed. Think about what the balls up was...
Perhaps next time you could do a bit more preparation and sort the questions yourself, sorry for sounding hard. You know you, you know your interests and opinions in the workplace, you know the good companies and the bad ones, you know the company your applying to (strengths and weaknesses), you know the industry, you know everything.
Start planning for the next interview now, show them you're interested in the company and that you've done your homework... And of course, good luck. ๐
" where do you see your company in 5 yrs time?"... worked for me, I spent an extra 45 mins with them after the interview had ended!
Seems I didn't mess up as badly as I though. I've been invited to do the online numeric and verbal reasoning tests from SHL. Do we know anything about those?
Cheers.
You can practice them on-line. Well worth doing. The numeric one I did was a bit tricky, not hard, but not much time so lots of pressure.
