This one is likely tongue in cheek. But a few months ago I shared the Go Fund Me Page of an old work acquaintance in the US who was having a rough time being out of work and getting divorced. He desperately wanted to maintain his apartment because it was close to his kids rather than have to move to cheaper location. He'd set up a Go Fund Me page to finance this.
Sounds like a normal night out in Bristol.
