You wouldn't want to replace all those tyres on your own paycheck in one go!

No, you can't throw that over the rear fence or leave it with a neighbour.

Impressive yes, but looked like four individual items - surely easier to transport them separately on regular trucks?

It depends on the route, the majority might be on motorways. It can be too expensive to divide a load and transport several parts, so it's treated as "indivisible"

Looked like one unit to me, mostly metal. Scrap men would still get it on a tranny pick-up though.

A similar transformer came through our village a few years ago; it had one huge truck at the front and two at the back.

A mile down the road they just left it in a layby, totally unguarded, presumably safe in the knowledge that it was unstealable!

It was awesome. I wouldn't have liked to be stuck behind it.

Them boys at Allelys really are awesome, they are based just down the road from me and regularly see some impressive driving skills when they return to base.

Get to see the sections of the wind turbines going in at Afan travel from Chepstow regularly at the moment, always creates a small crowd! Airplane engines going into GEAS at Nantgarw at night is good too, especially with a few at a time going up the final hill ๐Ÿ™‚
