In very similar circumstances, I recently daydreamed my way onto the wrong train. Also daydreamed past my station once or twice. Trains have that magical quality.

At least you didn't miss it by checking all your car tyres for their year of manufacture. That would be really bad...
never forgotten to get on a train but I did once leave my Klein Pulse MTB on the train when I got off. Luckily it was the first stop in Bedford as there's a second stop only a minute further on so I sprinted over there once I'd realised to find the guards staring at a very expensive bike that some pillock had left on the train.

I did something similar in a fast food resturant once. I queued up, ordered and paid. I accepted my change and then walked out without any food.
To be fair I'd had a lot on my plate that day; or not as the case was later when I realised I was still hungry.
What are these "train" things you talk about? Are you too poor to own an audi??

It's OK, I fell asleep on the train on the way back from a gig last night and missed my stop. It cost me a £50 cab ride home.
