More expensive still would be to remove the sump plug and scrawl **** you on the sump. Starts car, engine dies horribly, tows to garage, garage look under and see the message - lovely.
My old flatmate was a bit of a tart and he'd say more or less anything to get girls into bed. Unfortunately he picked one who lived 3 doors up who believed everything he said. One or two late night shouting sessions at him from the road outside she decided that enough was enough and did the car in the driveway with paint stripper. Luckily, for the first time, he'd parked there rather than me.
He decided it was fair enough and although it was expensive it was a decent lesson in behaving himself. Oddly, when I bumped into him a year later, he was seeing the girl in question.

You'd be surprised how far you can drive with zero oil in the sump and not do damage...(read as miles, not seconds) 😳
