Nuts. Just had a quick skim through so far - really surprised at how quick he seems to be going just with such a small amount of paddle going into the water.

They were called pedalos when I were a lad
A pedelo uses a rotating paddle wheel I think, not a tiptoeing duck. 🙂
I do like the drive mechanism. It works well in the shallow and weed covered water. It bikes stick up a bit though as he discovered under the fallen tree. I wonder if I could knock up something with a lower drive line, possibly screw or propeller driven?
