I used to be pit crew at the drags for a friend on her motorbike.
The bike blowups were almost always spectacular because they had a rider stretched out right on top of the engine. Especially the engines running on nitro. How no one got nutted was a mystery to me.

I'm quite impressed with the dyno fail at about 1:45 here.
looking at the exhaust on the 1:45 thing it was like there was a pressure build up inside it before the cylinder head blew off?
Thing with diesel engines is that to make more power you just keep pumping more and more diesel in until something breaks (hence the clouds of black smoke).
Hmmm . . . . this sort of thing is why I like bicycles.
I think I was most amused by the motorbike having a crap. I hope the rider bagged it.
