Watched the first series and by the end was heartily sick of hearing Gervais laugh at all his own "hilarious" jokes.

Mostly enjoyed Pilkington. Hopefully the new series is more of the latter & less of the former.

Agree with underhill above Gervais winds me right up. Pilkington on the otherhand is, according to my wife, just like me. Must be why I find him so funny.

I liked it and don't mind Gervais.

Having followed pilkington/Ricky gervais since their XFM days, it's fair to say pilkington is largely a gervais/merchant creation. The Karl of nowadays is a much more exaggerated version of himself, playing the role that Ricky & steve pushed him into.

So, while you might hate Ricky, just know that he pulls the strings.

Pilkington does seem to be becoming a bit of a parody of himself.

YES!!!!

They're all things I'd love to do, can't believe he bottled the bungie jump.. and that land jump he did was just pathetic. I've dropped from higher on my bike.

It is funny but also frustrating that he's SUCH a closed minded tool bag.

but if you watch the Office again you realise that he is a very funny writer (along with Merchant) and a decent actor.

kieth's appraisal?

I thought the Office was ok apart from Gervais. MacKenzie Crook and that bloke who played Arthur Dent were great. Can't abide Gervais, odious little twerp.

I refuse to watch anything with Gervais in it. Pond slime IMO

Watched episode 1 of the new series - very funny.

Not yet compiled a formal list of THINGS TO DO BEFORE YOU DIE though...

obviously scripted/Pilkington playing the part, a bit like top gear but without cars.

Still a good bit of take your brain out and watch entertainment

The Office is comedy genius. Gervais is so good at creating awkward situations. Gareth is the best character though

I like Keith in this scene lol.

" Cuz fanny means your arse over there, NOT your minge" ๐Ÿ™‚

All the awkwardness in the office is whats funny about it really. I didn't like it when i first watched it but loved it after a while. It grows on you i suppose.
