I think this thread will need bumping every hour or two - not sure I'll manage the full 24 hours live. Current record appears to be 5094 which is just under 1.5 per minute so this 2 reps, sit down strategy seems to be the way to go but no idea whether the schedule remains the same throughout.

I know Idai, he's a top chap. Pretty sure this is his second attempt.

Fair play. Pretty sure he has already beaten my lifetime record but I'm not sure it is a spectator sport.

Is the paint on the red wall behind him wet? Just to add a bit of excitement...

Not knocking the achievement/effort required, it just not a spectator sport is it?

Pretty sure this is his second attempt.

I read he's doing chin ups (palms facing) after an attempt last year on the pull ups WR (palms away) ended in injury. He's trying this as it has less impact on the injury - all here (click on the Read More in the grey box a few times) - https://www.gofundme.com/f/garaimakaya

4 hours in still goin. Currently on schedule for 5460 (record 5094) but it'll only get harder.

His form is shocking like most pull up wannabes, if you can't do em right don't do em.

It's a fund-raiser; a little positivity would be in order.
How does your best performance compare?

Wow, just about on target for 5100 now, and he seems to be doing 2 every 30s for a bit.

His form is fine especially after 5000 reps...
