I have manually backed up my phone to my laptop.
If I then delete all photos in iCloud and on my phone can I turn on iCloud settings once again to back up current photos in case I smash my photo while riding and it won't put all photos back onto it?

A bit complicated ...l Depending on how you delete the photos it can delete them everywhere including on photostream, also where exactly have you backed them up to ? You get a warning on the phone / pad if/when you delete photos if they'll be gone from cloud too. My photos are all backed up (ie saved) into the photos app on my Mac, this means even if deleted from everywhere else inc iCloud I still have them. Hope that helps.
They are all backed up in photos.
Just looking to use iCloud to back photos etc up in case I broke my photo and had not done a manual backup.
