The length from your shoulder to your elbow is identical as the length from your shoulder to the tip of your nose.

Does that not depend what way your nose is pointing? The distance between the end of my nose and anything else attached to me (apart from most of the rest of my nose) is pretty variable.

No need to apologise, I can see where the confusion may have arisen.

For those of a certain age - in that Cinzano ad with Leonard Rossiter and Joan Collins on the plane when he slaps the arm of the chair and she falls back, the stewardess who brings the drinks is Marina Sirtis, Deanna Troi from Star Trek The Next Generation

Gates McFadden, known for the role of Dr Beverly Crusher in Next Gen, was the choreographer in the film Labyrinth.

The problem is they loosened the restraints enough to allow me to type.

A loofa is a type of gourde or cucumber, not a sea cucumber as is the common misconception.

That can't be right, my UK shoe size is 14 or 15, 31.5cm, which would be between 12 and 13 inches.

Your wingspan is the same as your height
Not actually true - I run a climbing wall in the Midlands and the Ape Index is discussed a great deal and unfortunately there is a fairly wide discrepancy between height and arm span.
Sorry 🙁

its the increments between sizes - you're not starting from zero

An adult size '1' is 8 2?3 in or 22.01 cm and each size up from there is increments in barleycorns. So a size '13' is 12 barleycorns longer thanks a size 1,

Reading the mumsnet thread:

in Bohemian Rhapsody, I thought they were singing 'spare him his life from this warm sausage tea'
