Been told by them that you can't burn to a DVD to play on to your tv only as a back up disc .But i can watch Seasons on my telly by putting it onto an I Pod and using a certain cable .Thing is i don't have nor do i want an I Pod .Wish that had been made clear on website then i wouldn't have bothered . 🙁
Watched it now on the computer so thats one thing i suppose .
Why didn't you just buy the DVD?
or download a torrent?
It's one of the "anti copying" restrictions placed on iTunes by the DVD vendors.
I have the opposite problem, caused by the same restrictions - I want to put my DVDs on iTunes to play on my PC/iPhone, I can't do that without all sorts of faffing with dodgy software. Can't do it at all with Blu-Ray so I've stopped buying them.
Rio - Google for Handbrake.
Flaperon - got Handbrake, and a strange thing for decrypting DVDs that you seem to have to run first. But it's the faffing that I couldn't be bothered with - CD, put it in drive, iTunes does the rest. DVD - have to decrypt to the disc, run Handbrake, then run iTunes, delete interim files etc... Life's too short!
Rio. Use AnyDVD and Handbrake. Really very easy.
AnyDVD is a top bit of software and just runs in the background permanently stripping away any funny stuff on the discs that restricts your rights.
Why would you want to put Blu-ray on an ipod, totally pointless.
Why would you want to put Blu-ray on an ipod, totally pointless.
Because Mrs R wants something in BluRay so she can watch it in HD on the big TV but I want to be able to watch it on my iPhone when I'm away from home. Alternative is to buy it again on iTunes, which would be totally pointless...
Ah now I see.
