My 13-yr old son has just spent his xmas money on a new i-touch. We expected to plug and play but the i-tunes on our PC states that we need to download version 9 of itunes .... and when we 'run' gives us a Blue Screen.
Having crashed the PC a few times now frustration levels are rising!
Are there any ways around this? The i-touch appears to have no life without the pc...
....and the PC looks like it needs a trip to the techy guys along the road.

Thanks

Sounds like you need to do a bit of house keeping on your pc first.

Go to www.ccleaner.com and download their free app.
clears out old rubbish and there's a registry checker.

Run a disk cleanup through Windows disk management too.

Then reboot and see if your machine is still stable.

Google your iTouch/blue screen issue.

Maybe your anti-virus need an update, or you need to kill off some uneccessary startup programs.

Did you change anti-virus programs recently?

Next time it blue screens (if it does), write down the error codes and google them as well.

Good luck!

what spongebob said. Check that your PC has a spec suitable for iTunes 9. Although from the BSD effect it does sound like windows cruft problems.
Nearly all mp3 players need a personal computer to load files onto them.
The iPod touch is great.
