We will be in touch
Im trying to find the correct name for a type of machine screw (for eBay/online shopping searches).
It has a head like a carriage bolt (large pan, say 20mm in diameter, but only 5mm thick in the middle and tapering to a thin circumference), but without the square top to the shank. A combi slot in the top (slot/posi), M8 thread from the top of the shank and about 20mm long.
anyone?
Like a flatter button head?
bigger diameter. Not necc much flatter.
Are you offering, Stoner?

now, where to buy?!
mollie - in this instance Im a taker, not a giver.
I sometimes see button head screws with wider bases - they look like they've got washers under them but it's integral. Not in M8, though. Button head with a washer?
I may end up having to use a pan head machine screw and washer, but was hoping to keep a lower profile.
Ah, those - I'm sure I found some at B&Q for something...
Stigs fasteners have been good when I've wanted stuff
The thing your after looks a lot like a B&Q roofing bolt but they are for a flat head screw driver.
probably not in M8 though ben.
They had them in M8 last weekend...
cheers igm, these might do it:

EDIT: igm, in B&Q you mean?
It sounds like a roofing bolt, the sort of thing to hold corrugated sheet to metal rafters / trusses
Moses, I love you.
Yep B&Q had M8 roofing bolts, but they were slotted not Allen / Phillips / Pozidrive
