right, need a 50mm 5mm allen key bolt and nut for my mudguard mod project this afternoon.

question is, where do you expect is the best of the following 3 options where i would be likely to acquire them:
Local Homebase
Local (not very large) Hardware Shop
Local Bikeshop?

Thoughts, gents?

Most towns have specialist fixings places. Have a browse through yell.

Look up in the yellow pages under fasteners and fixings or engineer consumables or something like that

I use Bradford Bolt and Nut (BBN), but then I'm only 12 miles away.

Halfords. They do little packets of stuff like that

there's a brilliant but teeny bolt shop near me that i pass every day on the way to work, if you have no luck let me know and I'll call in for you.

Except, I'm not passing tomorrow as I'm away on business, so it would be Friday am instead.

thanks for the tips one and all, and the offer jon. went to cycle surgery and they sorted me out with a spare that was lying around, in exchange for some biscuits. everyone's a winner!
