New kitchen requires new stereo, any recommendations would be great.
• Most of my music is on my phone (android) which I usually connect by 3.5mm jack lead, being able to do this wirelessly or by Bluetooth would be great.
• Would like it to have DAB radio, I know I can access via internet radio but Mrs Sinatra is a bit old school
• Needs to neatly go on a shelf and not be too deep, upright speaker type design would be good
• Finally, I don't expect room filling Bose quality sounds but would like something not to tinny, all for less than £200.
Any ideas?
squeezebox radio?
no DAB, but you can have all the BBC radio channels (which are the best thing on DAB by far) through squeezecentre.
I don't have an android phone, but I'd expect there is an app out there that can stream from your phone to a squeezebox.

I don't expect room filling Bose quality sounds
that leaves you a lot of scope as Bose sound is not quality...
this looks interesting:
or a 'b-grade' version which just has the box opened, it seems:
Squeezebox looks good, anyone got any experience of these?
I've got a Squeezebox touch, which doesn't have built in speakers - plugs into my amp.
I use it to stream music from my NAS box and for internet radio.
It is awesome.
Squeezebox radio very good, £89 if you shop around. It's touchy about it's wireless connection so you need a good signal strength in the kitchen. Apart from that, it's fine. Squeezecenter on the PC is a bit unintuitive to get BBC iPlayer up and running.
Get a wifi enabled radio, they are about £100-£150 and can access the tunes on your phone if it supports DNLA, with the added bonus of being able to access internet radio too.
