after having just got the right arse-ache with my Xperia Arco S and it having a several interactions with the floor i now need a new phone.
my last phon e "died" as a result of it constantly hanging/lagging/dropping apps, the screen rotate feature no longer working and ultimately because it wouldn't log on to a website (no, not pawn, but i guess not necessarily the phomne's fault, either). other things that pissed me off was the poor reception (would come and go randomly) and the quietness of the ear speaker and loud speaker.
want something that isn't an iphone or another Xperia Arco S. water/dust proof would be a plus as i'm often in the workshop getting covered in dust.
Despite it not being waterproof, everyone is about to tell you to buy a Moto G

If you're looking for value for money then a moto g is a safe bet, spend a bit more then you're looking at the nexus 5, a bit more still then you're in the Samsung galaxy s5, Xperia z2 (better than the previous Xperia phones) or LG g3 territory.
