The ‘This Girl Can’ campaign is lottery funded and hopes to change attitudes by recruiting seven ordinary women, aged 14 to 51 and including A&E nurses, carers and students, to act as a new type of ambassador for exercise. “We wanted real people in this”, said Price. “We don’t want airbrushing and we don’t want models”. As well as the television advert, the women will feature on billboards across the country for the next five weeks, with slogans such as “I jiggle therefore I am” and “Sweating like a pig.
