A mate did that on the roundabout where the A38 joins the M5 SW of Brum. At the time there were no barriers so he just slid down the grass bank and joined the M5 as if nothing had happened.

Those banked/ramped roundabouts always seemed unwise to me, and that demonstrates why!
That one that Fossy linked up there ^ was just down the road from me. Driver was drunk and had kids in the car. She did porridge for that...
