So at age 39 it looks like I have high blood pressure. Going back next week for another check but I don't smoke, drink little, take regular exercise, eat OK but perhaps could lose some weight.

I have a family history of it so hoping some pills will see me right as well as a fewlifestyle changes.

Anything to be wary of? No idea how the drugs work or if they have side effects

Yep.
Same as you expect I don't need to lose any weight. Everyone said it was white coat hypertension at first so they gave me one of those cuffs that stink of cigarette smoke that you wear for 24 hours and that proved it wasn't.

Dunno. Anyway, he tried me on some pills, first lot made no difference, second lot made me feel terrible, second lot seem to work quite well with no side effects. It is only mild though, I forget now but mine was around 145/105 I think. It's usually around 125/85 nowadays.
