I've seen this on Facebook and as a classic middle aged cyclist I'm about as inflexible as it gets so it appeals to me to get flexible. I've done Yoga previously and not get much in the way of results so I'm tempted but having never heard of this as a concept before I'm skeptical in a "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" way.

Anyone any experience or insight?

Cheers

Gary

I think it's just a load of hyperbole

Sounds phenomenally amazing.

You don't need flexibility, you need mobility. Hold something overhead and squat, oh dear, now practice holding something overhead and squatting every day except Sunday. This is the less is more no bullshit version.

I'd not come across this so had a look, sounds like just PNF style stretching specific to the splits?

The only review I found that wasn't an advert for it seems to be this one
Review
The guy did it for 2 months, so twice the stated period, made some progress, but no where near the splits oddly enough. Unless you're very naturally gifted I can't see the average person, never mind less than average person, getting relaxed full splits in 4 weeks, and do you need it anyway?

I'd say just choose whatever sort of mobility/stretching style suits your temperament and if you do it regularly you'll do just as well and get lots of benefit. Loads of free resources out there without the hyperbole.

Actually I'm not bothered about doing the splits at all although it would be impressive. I'd like to be able to do a pike or get close as that would mean I'd sorted my hamstring tightness out & I might be able to get on the drops on the road bike - not that I ever ride it ;o).

I need to commit to a programme of flexibility/mobility as part of my daily routine I was just intrigued that there might be some hitherto uptapped magic bullet that could offer a big jump on it.

I don't doubt it's easy to fake this stuff with ex-gymnasts and the website looks incredibly dodgy. It's got an air of Ling about it which could be reverse psychology. ;o)

Watching the youtube reviews I'm erring towards scam but don't doubt any focused routine would see results.

know you said you tried yoga - but i had good results with a few youtube yoga sessions. had to be beginner and even then if you are doing it properly, you should struggle first time round...

or if you cant deal with the beard...
