Is anyone using one of these: AER
It looks pretty stupid, but I'm not sure whether it's fun-stupid or just stupid-stupid... 😀
(I have a GoPro, which I often think I should find more uses for than filming the sternum strap of my pack flapping about over a soundtrack of agonised breathing)
You should probably stop filming your sex life TBH.

Nope.
Looks like fun. Makes a change from quadcopters anyway, no worry about batteries running out or crashing into things.
Though €50, seems a bit expensive for a few bits of foam. How hard would it be to make one yourself?
Chuck it for few seconds of footage if you're lucky to catch the moment.

Try it, let us know how you get on.
Pretty sure I know, and attempting to make something like that that actually works will cost a damn sight more than $50 in time, let alone materials.
I can see the next thing being a modified Woomera to stick-launch one over greater distances.

I don't think anyone's suggesting that.

Sorry, they are.
Sorry, they are.
What in one take? And yes they caught a few seconds.
Tonight in Drac Misses The Joke...
It's kinda cool that, I like it. But too bulky to easily carry. And obviously I'd lose it.
Yup I have and still can't see it?
Oh wait. 😐
*looks at bottle rocket kit in the corner*
hmmmmm

Challenge accepted - though I'm not costing my time, as it will be a fun challenge. Sure anything will largely be a rip off of what they've done, and it won't have the snazzy mount for the camera, but it won't be that hard to make some fins out of some foam and a carrier for the camera. I doubt it will cost £10 for materials - possibly zero given what I have around.
You can buy a Nerf Vortex football for £10. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B016V2W4YU/
Then just tape a camera onto that. Probably wouldn't fly with a full size GoPro, but maybe with a Hero Session or keychain camera.
I suppose all you're really looking for is a bit of stability, and a bit of protection for the cam. I think I have a vortex somewhere, maybe hog out the front to make camera space... hmm
Can I add that voiceover man's voice to the list of petty things that irrationally annoy me thread.
