Well after 3 weeks im blown away with the desire, and it will only get better with 2.2 update soon. So what apps have you found on the store? ideally free. So far I have to say this for me is the iphone killer and yes I have had an iphone....

google Navigation for SatNav is great and free, works a treat and the voice is pretty good

Music Wizard & Tunee Music - have downloaded lots of songs so far!

RAC Traffic - worth a check before a long journey

Aquarium - Nice background live wallpaper

Astro - Lets you see the file plans, much easier to delete old programs & rename files

Laputa - read books, you can download them for free

And anyone seen thir own house on the maps? most areas you can walk and pan round, bit big brother!!!!

Compass, spirit level, The Guardian, Tube Map, Moon phase, OS Maps, Note Everything (I imported my Palm notes), StreamFurious for internet radio, an alternative to Laputa, MP3 Download, and (with a bit of searching) a cut-down version of skype for IM.

I've never had such a fun toy: it is a great device.

K-9 Mail - I prefer it to default mail app.
Have a look at Handcent for SMS.

For my media centre stuff:

XMBC Remote - take control of XBMC server (got it on my Mac/TV combo)
Tunes Remote - remote control a computer running iTunes.
Sky Remote Record - works a treat!
Astro SMB plugin - let's me browse home network and download content directly.
beebPlayer - BBC iPlayer

Out and about:

Endomondo GPS sports tracker
Trapster - speed camera app works nicely alongside Nav.

Prefer Estrong's File Manager to Astro - supports network shares and FTP.
