[Closed] How/Where to sell my relatively expensive car?

I'm looking at selling my '07 Audi A3, I'm not looking for a new car so part ex is not an option. Do I:

- Advertise in local papers, amazingly expensive at £60 for 4 days.
- Advertise on Autotrader, again pretty expensive and seemingly widely used but I've not had any success on there with my last 2 cars.
- Use Ebay motors, which is how I sold my last car, but the number of strange phone calls put me off using it again to be honest.

Or use all 3?

Cheers

Dave

I would try pistonheads classifieds and autotrader

I was about to recommend pistonheads. My friend had trouble shifting a Cooper S at a stupidly low price on autotrader, and it went within a day of putting it on pistonheads.

And if anyone rings you up claiming they have buyers waiting for just such a car as yours and for one payment of £90 they'll match you up with the buyer tell them to shove it. I'm sure you would of course but plenty of people fall for it.

i sold mine on the local city forum
sheffieldforum.co.uk

might be one similar where you are.

Also, my friends have had success on Facebook marketplace if you're on it.

Pistonheads but also possibly a specialist Audi / A3 site if there is such a thing.

Do you own outright or is there credit on it?

Then I concur - PIstonheads is good, but then again so is good old AutoTrader (just the online option is normally enough).
