It'd have to be debt repayment currently. If you magically paid them all off before giving me a grand, I'd probably spend it on a caravan 🙂

bp shares are probably a good long term investment as they'll bounce back. Someone in my team at work bought loads of bank shares when they fell, he's made a mint (slight tinge of jealousy there!)

I'd buy an old small frame vespa.

A car, tax and insurance. I'd probably just scrape a car a grand now though - thanks to Peter and Gordon all the decent £500 cars have disappeared. Labour are always helping the poor out 😆

On a Canon Eos 550D or a better used camera, and a Sigma 10-20 lens.

Have you spent more than £300 with Ocado?

They are about to float for (it's estimated) £1bn. Shares will be offered in the first instance to customers who have spent more than £300.

Minimum investment is going to be £1,000.

They are planning an insanely ambitious (but no doubt well planned) assault on the shopping market.

I'd set up a proper Arachnid room. I have a few spiders I'm trying to breed but would enlarge the projects and get a lot more breeding pairs in. Also a few made to measure tanks to tidy them up a bit.

currently need a new bed and matress; fancy a new TV (flatscreen) and associated unit to sit it on (purely a space-saving exercise); a new PC for the house (and desk to sit it on); and pay off the P7 frame I just bought and the new bed I just bought from my daughter's room.

Not likely for a grand, but one can dream, eh?

Holiday definitely. Nothing fancy, probably camping in France but eating and drinking well. A grand doesn't really go that far these days unfortunately.
