My 2year old daughter has a spot on her cheek which she keeps scratching until it bleeds (particularly at night), it looks pretty sore and is getting worse / bigger. I've tried putting a plaster on it, but she just peels it off and then picks, this evening I've tried a plaster with tape over and I've just been in to settle her only to be handed them both! her nails are kept short and we've not got any boxing gloves, so does anyone else have any suggestions?

Novelty plaster?

I suspect that would be even worse as she'd take it off even quicker to look at the picture!

Have you tried an astringent to dry it out.. Something with tee tree oil or event just some aftershave ..  Keeping it covered with a plaster won't help . You want to dry it up to stop the itch.

It's not covered during the day (or much of the night for that matter), but trying to stop her scratching while she's not got other things to distract her. Can you recommend an astringent , that we may already have in the house, which won't sting too much as I don't think she'd be too impressed if I put aftershave on it?!
