Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to maintain or increase weight, whilst consuming an Asian diet.
The diet where I am mainly consists of Boiled White Rice, and stir fried veggies.
My weight is coming down, and I'm not very big to begin with, and I'd at least try to maintain it.
Any thoughts, suggestions?
Cheers.
Avoid local cheap eateries and fried food, that is if you are in Asia?
I am in Asia, and I'm on site at a factory, where lunch and dinner is as above. Breakfast is fried noodles.
There is a chance of going to some late night BBQ, but this is normally fuelled with 2.5% watery alcohol, which I'd like to avoid if possible.
Where are you in Asia? It's kind of big and an Asian diet could be anything from pho to dog to crickets on a skewer!
Double helpings?
More protein and more excersize. The former should be fairly straightforward the latter might be hard in the heat and humidity. I had a few health issues when I first moved to Singapore as I wasn't eating enough vegetables, my weight went up though due to lack of excersize and too many beverages. (muscle wasting was quite notable and replaced by fat !)
Small town in China.
I've ordered some protein powder (Whey) from Hong Kong, as there is no protein in the daily diet at all.
I do plenty of exercise, (about an hour a day, vigorous) and I think this is making me loose weight, as I can't fuel myself properly.
