Want to install a graphics card to replace my X3000 onboard graphics. Can find where in the BIOS to disable it. Is it done in XP?

Just plug your new card in and the board recognises it does it not? Mine did....

I would have thought that the new card would just over rule the onboard stuff?

New board will override it.
Though you can probably set the graphics boot order, you want it set to PEG first.
