I recently bought a mini dvd camcorder which records onto the above.
Once I have downloaded footage how can I delete the memory card ?
I have tried putting micro sd card into card reader it came with, then
putting sd card reader into a digital camera but just get message 'file
error'. Is this because the digital camera is not sd hc ?
I have also tried a usb multi card reader plugged into my pc but to no avail. The mini camcorder does not have a screen as it is tiny & therefore I cannot do it this way. Will the memory card just delete info.once it is full & been downloaded ?
any help appreciated. t/g

Is there any way you can get a card reader for your pc/laptop then format the card. i have found after formatting the file error usually disappears.

I know that is not very technical but thats the best advice i have.

I use different sd cards for my camera, htc hero etc and i use a card reader for them all. Works best for me

I have a multi-card reader which connect to my laptop - when I insert the
memory card into this & plug into laptop I can find it under my computer as a device but when try to open it comes up with error.
Will try to format sd card with digi.camera then try again - it may be
because camera does not accept sd hc cards ??

The 'file error' message you get when you plug it into your camera is probably due to the camera not recognising the file format of the files that have been put on there by your camcorder.

Can you not still go into the menu of the digital camera and format the card from there?
Although I would think you'd be better off formatting the card either in the camcorder or the PC.
