My Garmin Instinct clocked about a mile while I was sat drinking a coffee - I know, I should have paused it when I went in the café. What's the easiest way to cut that out of the file?

Someone pointed me to GPX.studio last week, I think it’ll do what you want.
You’ll have to export the GPX, upload it and then re-import it into your app of choice.
