Our existing garage door is sectional and is pulled up by big springs and wires - it makes a hell of a racket.
Are electric roller doors any quieter or do they all end up noisy?
Edit: our living room is above the garage door so we here everything!
Had a Hormann sectional door installed and it was very quiet.
Ours is noisy and its a lot worse when the mornings sunshine has been on it.
Our one catches as one of the folds so makes a clunk noise. Its not particularly quiet anyway. However, my dad has just had one fitted and his is far quieter. I noticed his is lined with soft material along the runners, which might help.
Pretty quiet, certainly when compared to a creaky old up and over.
Ours: noisy from inside the garage, surprisingly quiet from the outside.
