is too much to consume, on a daily basis?

For the avoidance of doubt, it is organic - i.e. 97% peanuts, 3% palm oil (I know, I know; think of the rain forests) and sea salt.

Smooth or with 'bits'?

If it's smooth, as much as you like.

With bits in I'd go easy as it scratches on the way out!

When you are pawning your belongings to support your habit, thats too much.

I dislike peanut butter intensely, incidentally, I'm merely extrapolating from my experience with marmite.

If you've run out of the stuff, and lets say you went to the supermarket and they didn't have any...How would you feel?

a) Not at all bothered, what a daft question
b) The other supermarket across town is still open, I can get some there if I hurry
c) Run out? How could they, do they not know how important it is that I have some?
d) It's OK, the Manager keeps a special secret stock just for me...

If the answer is c or d, you're eating too much...

HTH

Depends if you are allergic to peanuts then any amount would be too much. However, I LIKE peanut butter, so when I am making my butties I tend to use a full jar.

There is some good research at the peanut institute regarding peanuts, so if you get the peanut content of the peanut butter it may give you some idea...

PB is funny stuff. I used to buy it in 2.5Kg tubs.

I still love it, but if I eat just a spoonful (must be with a spoon), I guarantee that within six hours I'll have a zit.

PB no more for me 😥

Then ditch the spoon and use a straw, chopsticks, a shovel and you'll be fine

It's torture. I can't live with a jar in the house.

I've just struck upon the perfect late night work snack combo:

1 x rough outcake
1 x dessert spoon of peanut butter
1 x generous squeeze of runny honey

It needs to be eaten very quickly, before the honey runs over the edge of the oatcake and onto the carpet. Just as well the cleaners are in!

Buzzing!

Honey and Peanut butter roll is my favourite hill snack.

Tried stirring peanut butter into a basic white sauce and then baking some pasta in it???

That sounds awesome!

Honey, peanut butter AND banana in a roll is surely the way to go for the hill snack?

If you can get the Meridian stuff (usually Holland & Barrett) - that's purely nuts - ie the oil is too - works out a lot cheaper that the smaller jars of wholenut/organic stuff. They often stock it in 1Kg containers - in theory there's both smooth and crunchy but I can only find the latter. I've tried grinding up the crunchy in a pestle n mortar..it works but it's hard work...

My favourite is on buttered pikelets/crumpets 🙂

Whenever we have a big day out on the bikes I always make some " Sandwiches that killed Elvis"for the journey.

Lightly toasted baguette or ciabatta
Grilled crispy streaky bacon
Peanut Butter
Apricot Jam

That's all the boxes ticked.
