We will be in touch
so, just had an important debate in the office - the guy who sits next to me recons that his mate just got a new 3 piece suite (has a corner sofa), and recons 'about 40 cows' made it. So. How many cows does it take to make a sofa? I can't find anything online about the size of cowhides etc..
Anyone got any ideas?
H
Depends how good they are with their hoofs I guess. I'd imagine most struggle threading a needle.
😀
Ewan, you're absolutely correct, they'd be hampered by the lack of opposable thumbs.
Incidentally, the lack of thumbs is why you never see pigs hitch-hiking.
What are they Shetland cows?
If they're working a sewing machine though, the hooves would be fine for pressing the pedal, they'd just need something like a squirrel to thread the needle and load the bobbins etc.
Good idea mrsflash, squirrels are cheap to employ too, they'll work for peanuts.
I'll get my coat
Our sofa has got a brand mark on the back 🙂
UK or US hides? cow skin? calf skin? embossed hides? vellum? Utrine Vellum?
From memory I think it takes about 4 hides to make all the seat covers in a car so you're probably taking 4 to 8 depending on the size of sofa. Your mate's guess of 40 is a bit way off.
Your mate's guess of 40 is a bit way off.
Agreed. Does your mate realise that cows aren't that small ..... just far away ?
Ere are 5lab ......... show your mate this :
hold on ill ask the one on my sofa 😉
That was quite a-moo-sing.
Coat's on.
& that reminds me of something my mate once said while out on a ride, 'sheep are stupid, they can't even light a fire'
yeah, your mate has never seen a cow up close. They're pretty big.
About 4 square meters when flattened 😉
