[Closed] How long would you wait for someone to collect an item won on ebay?

Winner paid for item by paypal straightaway, collect only, not heard a sausage from them in coming up for 3 weeks now. No replies to ebay messages or contact phone number listed. Thinking of returning their paypal payment and re-listing. Had people not pay and muck about before but not when someone pays then goes quiet. Time to give up on them?

That's weird, real money or pocket change?

Could be a sad tale to go with it.

I'd contact eBay as well - as I'm not sure how the refund of fees would work if you simply refunded the PayPal payment. Awkward!

£45 item. Yes think I'll ask ebay directly as may get fees back charged too

Better than than them picking it up and then raising a non-delivery dispute and getting a refund I suppose.

I'd have sacked it after a fortnight, refunded and relisted. IANAebayExpert.

Maybe I'm missing something.

You've got paid - if he hasn't collected it that's his issue (unless it's particularly large / hard to store).

I think if it was me I'd consider putting it in the shed/garage/bury it in the garden etc and give it 12 months - if still not collected then sell it again or skip it?
