5, 10, 20 years?
Our neff has just (seemingly) died after 10 years of hard slog (family of 5 with 3 kids under 12).
Not sure if that's good ot not, amd not sure if I should replace for £390 or repair. Thoughts?

Had the same one 17 years, just when my eldest lad was born, still going strong!

Somewhere between 3 ps and 3 ns!

However I'd say 10 yrs is probably reasonable for any kitchen appliance in heavy use, so unless its very cheap to fix then it might be worth replacing. Of course if you are not locked on Neff, you could get one that will last a similar period for about 1/4 of that!

Microwaves are radio waves with wavelengths ranging from as long as one meter to as short as one millimetre, or equivalently, with frequencies between 300 MHz (0.3 GHz) and 300 GHz.

19 years here and still working fine. Though I think I heard somewhere that you should perform microwave leak tests on them when they get old..
Wouldn't know how to mind you !

Edit: Replace is probably the best route forward.

Place a cup of water in the oven.
Set it going on the highest setting.
Place your right ear firmly against the glass.
If your brain starts to tingle or run out of your nose then you need to replace the microwave.

I think he meant his 4 microwaves. As £390 for a microwave doesn't make much sense.

Our last one caught fire the side melted off it on the inside, looked very pretty. It was about 5 years old but cost a massive £99. It was far more powerful, smaller and more efficient than the last one we had which was given to use and cost around £400.

Oh and this was last year and never replaced it we decided there's no point as we don't miss it.

Ours still works fine apart from the turntable which was would stop working for a week or so and then resume. Now it's been stopped for a month. I must admit I'm puzzled, but I suspect corrosion from spilled food gunk.

Have you tried making sure the window wash bottle is connected properly?

I think Molgrips gives off negative energy making everything around him stop working correctly.
