There's a form to do so on the Intellectual Property Office website.

As above, do a search on other similar marks in the same class

fill in the form, pay your fee

couple of months down the line it gets published

and as long as no-one objects, a couple of months after that you get a letter confirming its yours

be aware that the address you use gets published

also be aware that you'll get scam letters through that look very official, regards registration in 'X' journal or 'Y' catalogue. That you need to bin.
