Thinking about buying an iPad mini as my 8gb touch is full, question is how do I get everything transfered accross? And is there a full reset on the touch so it can be sold? Hope its easy 🙂
Although im sure this is simple, my advice would be to ask the guys in the Apple store to swap all the stuff for you when you buy the mini.
Sync iPod with iTunes, then sync iPad with iTunes?
If you sync with iTunes, and do a full back-up, you can connect the iPad and do a restore from back-up, using the Touch back-up, or just drag stuff from iTunes onto the Pad.
One point, though; that doesn't include music, but if you have a playlist set up for the Touch, then all you need to do is drag that playlist onto the pad when it's connected, either via wifi or cable.
if you're using iCloud for backing up your touch you can restore that back up to the new iPad wirelessly. All the apps, information and settings will appear on the iPad. Some apps do not restore with the iPad-specific version though. You'll need to get the iPad specific app from the iTunes store. Music and video stuff will not copy across that way. You need to sync with iTunes for that like count zero says. Or you need to use iTunes Match and get your stuff that way.

(The Apple Store girl set it all up for me and transferred all the stuff over for me. I would recommend that option :D)
