Sorry, can't find anything about this on t'interweb.
Normally, when composing a message you can enter the 1st few letters of an email address in the 'To' slot and it finds it quickly. Now I get a little green thing going round & round and rarely does it become an address. All addresses have to be entered in full manually.
Any ideas?

Might help, I don't use hotmail though.
Thw wife is having a similar issue: when reply to an email, the 'To' slot is empty and can;t be populated from her contacts - has to be entered manually. Can't remember if she's tried it in a new email.... Also came up with nothing from a cursory Google....

how are you accessing your hotmail? Using the windows live mail application installed on a pc, through an android app, or through the web interface?
edit: try accesssing your account through "outlook.com" - add an outlook alias for your hotmail address if need be, there are easy steps that you;re guided through. The interface is completely different and much nicer IMHO

Err.. is it because Hotmail is changeing to Outlook?
you could try upgrading to outlook, maybe they have broken something in the migration
