Ok so my new partner (not called louise) has booked us in for some hot yoga on friday night. I don't think it is a euphemism...?

Anyhow, anyone done it? Slightly concerned I'm going to twang something whilst letting out a monumental guff

Sweaty crutch so it looks like you’ve pissed yourself.

A few years back I was invited along with then gf to Pilates class, 1st timer me and it was intermediates class she never said
I stumbled almost brought two others down and was made to come to the front of the class and hold on the bars, talk about embarrassment . A definite cure if a semi was on the horizon

Mrs D is a huge fan of hot yoga. She was new to it last year and now goes pretty much every day (and sometimes twice) she’s not working. Nothing has gone wrong so far and she’s feeling much better and fitter for it.

To quote one of my work colleagues "I never knew my shins sweated so much".

It's awesome!

Put a HR monitor on, you won't believe how high your HR will go, just stretching!.

Our local one goes to 48 degC, it's unreal.

One of the cycle club is an instructor, and recommended it to me as I have a dodgy back, theory being the heat would reduce the chance of me pinging it - not had a chance to get to a beginners class yet with covid

My wife's ex sister-in-law was a massive advocate of this many years ago. She went to America to train to be able to teach it here. It was called Bikram or something.

Not sure how good it was but if you listened to her it cured everything. She was a massive bellend though.

I dislocated my bowel trying to stifle a trouser ripper. Ridiculously hard work considering you don't actually move anywhere.

I feel this needs more explanation.

Not what I want to read while eating breakfast…

Spoilsport.

me and wife-from-fife used to do hot ashtanga yoga - I think the heat definately helps prime you for the weird positions. Great for the flexibility, I noticed a huge improvement after about 4 goes. Also noticed I lost fat too. Kinda of wish I'd kept it up.

Was keeping it up difficult then?

I did a hot yoga class in New York once. I was just in a pool of sweat by the end!

Prefer to do normal yoga in a comfortable (i.e. not cold) temperature!!

Must be a Covid infestation nightmare given the generally sweaty sock smell of most hot yoga studios ?

I've done it.

I did a 10 session starter effort with the one in the northern quarter in mcr. The idea of stretching whilst super hot appealed to me as I do feel more supple. It was OK, but the session was totally repetitive. I didn't continue.

If they'd have done a sports focused one that really went for the legs, hips and back, I'd have gone for it.

I also went as a date, third one I think, and it was a good laugh. Would recommend for that. Summink to do innit!

Have fun!

I would suggest coughing to cover it up but possibly not wise right now.
I am a fan of yoga but since the sort of temperatures hot yoga reaches makes me either sleepy or homicidal have decided to give it a miss.

I'm not always comfortable when it's hot, so I try not to attend hot yoga.

Third date you're practically an old couple, so farting in front of each other would be perfectly acceptable.
