Just ordered a set of hope tech 4 e4 brakes what rotors should I use?

I currently have shimano rt 86 rotors would these be compatible or would I need to change to hope rotors ?

Also I currently have shimano post mount adapters would I have to change these aswell ?

You should be fine with what you have.

Rotors should work, just check the whole pad engages. I’ve found shimano mounts don’t clear the back side of hope callipers though.  Uberbike ones do.

OK no worries I think I will just buy new rotors and the adapters just to be safe

I run E4s with Rt99 and Mt900 Shimano rotors without any problems at all.  I also run RX4+ with RT99 rotors again without issues.

i think that they may accept upto 2.3mm rotors. and i'd go with hope mounts dispensing with the need for conical washers on the shimano mounts. should make caliper alignment easier.

Rotors should be fine but I would use the Hope mounts, never have an issue when I do but as soon as I don’t things just tend to get fiddly, possibly that’s just me I don’t know.

Not sure about tech 4's, but I've been using shimano adapters with tech3 e4's for years with no problems whatsoever
