has anyone used homeaway?
if so did it all go smoothly?

Booked a villa near Nerja last year without any problems.

Along with VRBO, Homeaway are one of the biggest listing sites for owner owned/operated holiday rentals. My bosses use it for their properties. Should all be legit.

Yes, last week. All good - apart from owner had a few 'hidden' bits of charges not listed, so I will leave some feedback...

Yes - for a holiday house in Iceland with an owner that lived in London. No problems at all.
